Brigham Young papers, 1847-1866.

Brigham Young's 1854 letter to his nephew, Col. Little, appoints Little to missionary duty in England with F. D. Richards (WA MSS 536). Young's 1857 letter to the commander of the troops invading Utah Territory asks them to leave (WA MSS 537). His 1866 letter to Daniel Wells contains the news from Salt Lake City (WA MSS 538). "The word and the will of the Lord concerning the camp of Israel in their journeyings to the West" is Young's declaration starting the westward migration (WA MSS 539). The paper money is an example of the currency Young issued (WA MSS 540).
